While visiting Southern California over the holidays, we took the opportunity to head out to Anza Borrego Desert State Park for the day to see some good beautiful desert scenery. Our good friends (and hosts for the weekend) lead us out there in their twin 4Runner where we drove through a few canyons and washes on the South side of the park. These big deserts are truly beautiful in a very different way compared to the forested mountains of Northern California.
