Inyo National Forest is a haven for the weekend warrior. With a wealth of terrain and a heavy network of roads, there are endless opportunities for routes to take and places to post up for the night. Joe and I left the Bay Area looking for a weekend to get away and have an easy weekend in the Eastern Sierra. We left early Saturday morning for the 6 hour trek over highway 88 into Nevada, then south on 395 to the Mammoth Lakes area…
Joe stayed thru Sunday, I stayed until Monday to make the most out of the weekend’s excursion. Between the breathtaking views, some local hot springs and good company, this was exactly what we both needed to hit the camping reset button.
